Airtel has recently launched a 4G dongle of Micromax brand, the MMX444L. Unlocking solution of Micromax MMX444L is now available, which is totally free of charge for routerunlock.com users.

Unlocking of Airtel MMX444L involves a firmware update, which is risky. However, it is tested with two dongles and both are working fine after unlock.

The Micromax MMX444L is a 4G dongle that comes in black and white colors. It works with Windows: 8/7/Vista/XP, MAC: 10.6/10.7/10.8, and Ubuntu: 10.04/12.04/12.10. Since it is a 4G, it can provide the download speed up to 100Mbps and upload speed limit is 50Mbps.

Under the hood of MMX444L, there is a microSD slot, that can be upgraded with up to 32GB of the memory card. Its USB interface is 2.0. It is a plug and play modem, and its software can store 3000 Contacts. It features LTE-TDD – 3GPP Release 9, Category 3; Up to 68 Mbps DL and 17 Mbps UL at 20 MHz; LTE-FDD – 3GPP Release 9, Category 3; Up to 100 Mbps DL and 50 Mbps UL at 20 MHz; Frequency Band – LTE-TDD: B40 (2300 MHz); FDD B3 (1800 MHz); 3G – B1 (2100 Hz); 2G – Quad band (850/900/1800/1900). The device measure 89 x 28 x 12 mm and weight is less than 40gms. Its average price in the Indian market is Rs. 2500.

How to Unlock Micromax MMX444L Airtel 4G Dongle?

1. Insert any other SIM card than Airtel in MMX444L data card.

2. Connect the Micromax MMX444L dongle to PC USB.

3. Open My Computer >> Virtual CD-ROM.

4. Install the Micromax software of Airtel brand in PC.

5. Now run the downloaded unlocked firmware V03.200515.444L of Micromax MMX444L.

6. It will take around 10 – 15 minutes.

7. Once firmware updated successfully, your Airtel MMX444L will be unlocked forever.

8. Run the Airtel app and you will see the network of inserted SIM card.

9. Create a new profile according to the new SIM card and connect to the internet.

How to lock down the computer via a shortcut

If you don’t have a keyboard with a Window key or simply don’t like the keyboard method, then here’s how you can make a desktop shortcut to lock your computer. Bellow are the instructions used to lock down your computer using a shortcut.

Step 1 – Right click an empty area of your desktop, choose New/Shortcut.

Step 2 – Copy-and-Paste the command line: rundll32.exe user32.dll, LockWorkStation as shown below and press the Next button.

Step 3 – Insert the shortcut name or label <Lock Computer> as shown below. Press the <Finish> button. That’s it.

Step 4 – You should now is an Icon on your desktop labeled <Lock Computer>. Double-click this Icon to LOCK your computer. You will see a pop-up window displaying the Unlock Computer Password Box.


You can also lock a PC via a bat file:

This is similar to a Windows shortcut method. But it’s a DOS version. If you’ve never created a bat (batch) file, but would like to try this method, simply open a new text file (such as with Notepad) and type the following commands:

Here i will show How you can create your own run command in windows OS. Actually this feature in windows is great which is useful to open your application window instantly. So Now you can also create your command to open any application by entering command in RUN.

Lets Start.

Step 1: Creating Shortcut

Here you have to create shortcut of your application.

Right click on desktop click on new then click on shortcut
Then you will see one window.
Here you have to paste full path of your application file (it should be .exe file or .lnk file or may be other shortcut). You can also browse that file by the browse button.

Step 2: Choose your application

 

Here i am creating shortcut of DOSBox-0.74
You can paste your application path which you want to run using Run command. after selecting path click on next button.

Step 3: Set Run command

Now This is important to set run command.
Here you have to type command name which you want to set.
Remember you can open your application using this command in run.
Here i am setting my command name with "dosbox" So i am able to open it using this command name in run.
after typing name of command click on finish. 

Step 4: Finishing Step

Finally you done all thing, you will see one shortcut on desktop. Cut it and paste it at the following path

                  C:\Windows
 
Thats Done.
Now open Run (ctrl+R) and type your command name(Here my command name is "dosbox") and hit enter. you application will open. Every time you can do that to open your application.
